Description of Entry:
HKIA Cargo Data Platform is an air cargo community ecosystem built on SMART technologies (including cloud platform, blockchain, smart contracts, etc.). It is a future-ready, trusted and synchronised network that can address current complex, fragmented industry operational challenges and unlock the possibilities of fully digital network by enabling industry stakeholders of all scales (MNC, SME) playing different roles (freight forwarding, warehouse operators, truckers, terminal operators, regulators, etc.) to participate and leveraging platform functions for improved operations and communications.

The connected supply chain network streamlines process, enhances operations efficiency and cargo journey visibility. Data as captured along the process is capitalised into valuable insights.

Building a local ecosystem is just the start of our air cargo digitalisation journey. Our platform will grow through network collaboration across the borders, across the sectors (both commercial and government organisations) and across the industries (including non-air cargo industries). It will continue to evolve and transform into a global digital trade ecosystem to synchronise information flow, cargo flow and capital flow so as to facilitate more global trade and to enable continuous prosperity of air cargo and economic growth of Hong Kong.

A highly comprehensive data exchange platform for air cargo developed by AA and its local contractor. It attempts to solve the air cargo ecosystem by integrating every players in the logistics business. It is well received and adopted by stakeholders from courier to carrier to terminal operators and Customs. It is going to cover Import cargo traffic as the first phase of Export cargo traffic is in operations for 9 months already.
