Entoptica introduces an innovative tool for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) screening: the Structured Light Observation Perception and Evaluation (SLOPE) system. SLOPE enables early detection of macular degeneration through a quick, two-minute test that does not require pupil dilation, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients. Compared to traditional Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) devices, SLOPE is significantly more affordable, with a price point of USD 100,000 versus USD 300,000 for OCT. Its compact and portable design makes it ideal for use in clinics as well as rural or remote settings. The effectiveness and reliability of SLOPE have been demonstrated in clinical studies involving 200 participants at both Hong Kong Science Park and the University of Waterloo in Canada.
