ITIL Foundation Training and Certification Programme for IT Services Colleagues
ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is the best practices framework for Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), which would bring better business values for IT services sector and can lead to ISO20000 certification. Kicked off in 2009, the Centre is the first IT services centre among the Hong Kong tertiary institutions to start the ITIL implementation. The foundation training and certification programme is provided to the Centre’s around 100 professional, administrative and clerical staff.
Comments from Judging Panel
With the 100% certification of its staff after the foundation training programme, all staff in the Centre can speak in the same ITIL language for communication and have a common mind-set of bringing business values of each IT service for the clients. It is well applied no matter the staff are in professional, administrative or clerical level. The Centre also sets up a role model for the IT services centres of other tertiary institutions to adopt ITIL to upgrade the professionalism of their staff to provide IT services of better business values.
